QUERÉTARO, Qro.- Due to its growth in the country after the diversification of its services, the airline company Redwings will move from Toluca to the Intercontinental Airport of Querétaro its corporate center, from where it will operate from next November its control center and General direction
Its administrative and accounting area has already been installed at the airport and will soon open a private terminal that third parties will be able to use to land their executive aircraft, Bernardo Moreno, CEO and owner of the company, said.
For that reason, it will bring to Querétaro its airplanes and a helicopter to make trips from the airport of this entity towards other states of the Bajío. Redwings has since 2010 a maintenance workshop in Queretaro territory.
Bernardo Moreno said that his company, which was born 10 years ago to offer management of aircraft and helicopters in Mexico City, saw in Querétaro a city with the potential to set up its operations base and strengthen its maintenance workshop.

And we are in the Bajío, the area that grows the most, and the only competition we have is León, but it does not focus on executive taxis, “he said.
From its control center in Querétaro will monitor all its airplanes, manage international permits and develop flight plans.
In Toluca, State of Mexico, only two aircraft will remain for rent and in Mexico City a helicopter.
Also, because it detected that aircraft maintenance is essential, it will strengthen this activity in the workshop that already operates from the Queretaro Intercontinental Airport.
The company has grown and diversified its services, currently counting on a management fleet of 12 aircraft, two of them helicopters, the majority owned by third parties.
Last year the executive airline made four thousand flight hours and expects to increase this figure by 25 percent this year.
Monthly the company makes between 100 and 150 flights. Sixty percent of its clients are foreigners, mainly Russians, Chinese, Japanese and Spanish.
Moreno considered that its growth is due to the lack of connectivity that exists in Mexico.
In Querétaro, its objective is to focus on the manufacture, repair and maintenance of aircraft. In his workshop will include open interiors, painting, performing avionics and generation of navigation components.
It aims to serve US customers, who will get 40 percent labor savings here. That, he said, will also attract tourism to Queretaro as customers will also visit the cities during the period in which the repair of their units is carried out.
Subsequently, Redwings will specialize in the maintenance and manufacture of aircraft components, such as propellers, installation of GPS and introduction of navigation systems.
For that reason it will demand specialized technicians, who will not come from universities of the state, since the company plans to train in its own school to students of the Conalep.
At the end of this year or early next year, Redwings will double its workforce to reach 200 employees.
